Shon Wilson's Life...so far...
Shon was born in Brooklyn, New York, but spent most of her childhood in Charleston, South Carolina. Having always dreamed of being a pop star/movie actress like Vanessa Williams, Madonna, Janet Jackson, and Jennifer Lopez, Shon decided to get a Bachelor's Degree in Musical Theatre so she could act, sing and dance. However, during her four years at American University in Washington, DC, she gravitated towards roles in straight comedies and classical plays, performing in only two musicals.
After graduating from college, Shon went right to work as a professional actress in North Carolina. There she earned contracts with the Actors Theatre of Charlotte, the North Carolina Shakespeare Festival, Epic Arts Repertory Theatre and the Children's Theatre of Charlotte as well as many other regional companies.
In addition to having received several award nominations for her stage roles, Shon has also developed a prolific body of work in film and video. Her first feature film role was in Blood Done Sign My Name (2010) as the operating room nurse who works on fatally-wounded Henry 'Dickie' Morrow.
Now living in Los Angeles, Shon's primary acting focus is film, TV and voice over work. She also loves to belt pop tunes at karaoke whenever she gets a chance and takes ballet classes three to four times a week.
